Korea, 28 May 2025 - VSIP recently had a meaningful business trip to South Korea, aiming to focus on exploring strategies for the development of smart and modern industrial zones. This is part of South Korea's national initiative to promote manufacturing innovation and enhance competitiveness.
Korean Industrial Parks are at the forefront of applying advanced technologies like IoT, AI, Big Data, and automation to optimize production, energy management, and logistics. Significant investment from both government and businesses, coupled with the widespread adoption of high-tech solutions, has solidified South Korea's leadership in this field.
During the trip, VSIP's Leadership Team had valuable opportunities to visit and collaborate with various key organizations and facilities:
• On-site visits: Sihwa Banwol National Industrial Complex (Siheung Smart Hub), Guro Digital Complex, and the Industrial Museum.
• R&D insights: Korea University of Engineering and Technology (TU. Smart Industrial Complex Business Group) and Seoul Techno Park.
• Policy and collaboration discussions: KICOX Seoul Regional Headquarters, LH Pangyo 2nd Techno Valley Enterprise Growth Center (meeting startups), Pangyo Global Business Center, and Busan Jinhae Free Economy Zone (BJFEZ) Authorities.
• Urban planning & logistics: Myeongji International New Town and Busan New Port Promotion Center.
The business trip provided VSIP with valuable insights into the transformation from traditional industrial zones to smart industrial models, along with practical experience in effectively applying technology to management and operations.
